Terms & Conditions / Pet Behavioral Policy

Pet Behavioral Policy

At Walkie Talkies, we prioritize the safety and well-being of every pet in our care. To ensure a positive experience for both pets and handlers, we have established the following policy:

Behavioral Guidelines
We aim to provide enjoyable and stress-free care during or all pets. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate pets that exhibit behaviors that can compromise the safety of both the pet, the person walking/sitting the animal, other pets and/or pedestrians in the area:

  • Reactivity towards other pets/humans
  • Aggression (including growling & biting)
  • Excessive jumping
  • Excessive leash pulling/biting
  • Excessive barking
  • Resource guarding (e.g., food, toys)
  • Fearfulness/anxiety/excessive excitability
  • Destructive chewing/markings
  • Inability to respond to basic commands

Our Commitment
By adhering to these guidelines, we can maintain a safe and controlled environment during the care of the animal, allowing us to focus on providing the best possible care for the pets entrusted to us. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us ensure the safety and well-being of all pets in our care.

Alternative Solution
If your pet exhibits behaviors that prevent them from participating in our standard walking, daycare and/or boarding services, we recommend seeking training or behavior modification assistance from qualified professionals. Once these behaviors have been addressed and resolved, we would be happy to welcome your pet back into the Walkie Talkies Club. I can provide you with some references for trainers if needed.
